Weret-Kekau is the name for Goddess Isis in the old Kushite language, I wanted to invoke an image that was royal and ancient, a grandmother familiar and at the same time un imagined before, a grand being, a Kushite Mother Queen might envision when Isis came to her.

Hathor - the mistress of life, the mistress of heaven, mistress of the offering, and lady of stars.

Kushite Mother Queens believed they were descended from the Lineage of the Goddess Hathor. I wanted to create a representation of Hathor in the way they might have imagined her, as a reflection of themselves and vice versa.
